The Lumaax is the highest performing diffuser on the market, developed in house by our expert injection moulding division. When compared to the market standard opal, the Lumaax offers up to a 92% increase in Light Output Ratio. The diffuser also eliminates the “hot - spot” or “glare” caused by the LED boards, increasing the application range for our enclosures.

Don’t be fooled by its yellow-ish appearance, once lit the Lumaax comes to life. Such is the performance of the Lumaax,  many of our customers are able to reduce the circuit watts of their enclosure and still achieve the desired light output ratio (LOR). The diffuser helps provide long term energy saving capabilities and increases the efficiency of our enclosures.

How are PQ helping our customers meet their Circular Economy targets?

The European Union has outlined requirements for the ECODESIGN of luminaires as part of their Circular Economy action plan. By 2020, they expect luminaires to be designed in such a way that the light source and control gear can be readily removed by the end user qualified professional, and, provide information for the
aforementioned removal. Manufacturer's must also ensure no damage is caused to the housing during the removal. Lighting Europe have suggested that the 2020 timeline is too ambitious for manufacturers to realistically transition. Here at PQ however, we are well on the way to helping our customers achieve these
targets!

86%

Reduction in Single use Plastic

Our product range has been designed in modula format to ensure parts can be easily replaced. This system increases the life of the luminaire and
ensures parts can be replaced, WITHOUT causing damaged as outlined in the EU commission’s circular economy action plan. Our hinged gear tray ensures easy access to internal components, with the gear tray itself, or individual parts, replaceable.
